# GigTerms > GigTerms is software that helps freelancers and solo founders understand a client contract before they sign. Upload a B2B contract (PDF or DOCX) and it highlights the terms worth discussing and the protections that are missing, explains each one in plain language from your side of the deal, and suggests wording plus a short message you can send to the client. GigTerms is software, not a law firm: no person reviews your contract, and it is not legal advice. GigTerms runs the commercial side of a freelancer's deal: agreeing the terms and getting paid are available today; finding clients is in development. Interface languages: English, Russian, German, Spanish, French. Contracts are analysed in their original language. ## What is available now - **Contract check**: choose whether you are the contractor or the client; every clause is judged from that side. Contractors can save their own standard terms (deposit, payment days, revision rounds, required clauses, own rules); the report then shows which of them the contract meets, breaks or leaves out. Each finding is marked "fight", "negotiable" or "standard" so you know what to push on first. Long contracts are reviewed in sections, and the report says so if any part could not be covered. Scanned PDFs (up to 20 pages) are read from their page images. You can ask a short question about any finding (Free 3, Pro 50, Studio 200 a month); the answer uses that finding only. - **Compare versions** (Pro and Studio): upload your original and the counterparty's edited version; see what changed and whether each change is better or worse for you. - **Document templates** (Pro and Studio): NDA (mutual or one-way), freelance services agreement, change order, drafted from a few details. - **Invoice generator** (all plans): create and print invoices. GigTerms does not send invoices or track payments. - **Client message templates** (all plans): 12 ready messages, e.g. payment reminder, scope change, deposit request, rate increase. - **Jurisdiction matcher** (all plans: 3 answers a month on Free, 20 a month on paid plans): public information on three countries where you could register a business, checked live against what your citizenship allows and where you live, with a checklist (questions for any agent, red flags, official sources). It never recommends specific firms. Not legal or tax advice. ## In development - **Finding clients**: not available yet. ## Plans - **Free, $0**: 1 contract check per month, checked against your own terms; Jurisdiction Matcher 3 a month; invoices and message templates; no card needed. - **Pro, $19/month or $190/year** (two months free): 15 contract checks, 15 version comparisons, 20 documents from templates and 20 Jurisdiction Matcher answers per month. - **Studio, $49/month or $490/year**: coming soon, together with finding clients; not sold yet. - **5 contract checks, $9 one-time**: no subscription, valid for 12 months. - **Refunds**: the first payment of a subscription is refunded in full within 14 days (Refund Policy). - Prices are in USD; local taxes such as VAT are added at checkout where they apply. - Paid plans are currently arranged by email; self-serve checkout is not live yet. ## How contracts are handled - The file is encrypted in your browser (AES-256-GCM) before upload. The key exists only for that one request and is never stored. - The server decrypts the file in memory to analyse it, then deletes the file from storage. - The full contract text is never written to the database or sent back to the browser. Only the analysis result (flagged clauses and short excerpts) is kept in your history until you delete it. - Before contract text goes to the model, email addresses, phone numbers (international "+" format, US/Canada format, or after a label such as "Phone"), IBANs, card numbers, US social security numbers and labelled account numbers are replaced with placeholders and put back in the report. Other phone formats, names and addresses are sent as they are; scanned PDFs are sent as files and are not masked. - Analysis uses Anthropic's Claude API; under Anthropic's API terms this data is not used to train models. - Data is stored with Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany. ## Pages - [Home](https://www.gigterms.com/): product overview, pricing, FAQ - [Privacy Policy](https://www.gigterms.com/privacy.html): what is collected, where it is stored, how to delete it - [Terms of Service](https://www.gigterms.com/terms.html): terms of use; operated by Individual Entrepreneur Aleksei Starchenko, registered in Georgia (No. 304782901) - [Refund Policy](https://www.gigterms.com/refund.html): full refund of the first subscription payment within 14 days; cancel any time; payments processed by Creem as Merchant of Record - [Acceptable Use Policy](https://www.gigterms.com/acceptable-use.html): what the AI tools may and may not be used for (no harmful, illegal, deceptive or harassing content) and how it is enforced - [Freelance contract checker](https://www.gigterms.com/freelance-contract-checker.html): what a contract check shows, how it works, what happens to the file - [Compare contract versions](https://www.gigterms.com/compare-contract-versions.html): see every change in what a contract says between two versions (Pro) - [Free invoice generator](https://www.gigterms.com/free-invoice-generator.html): make an invoice in the browser and save it as a PDF; no account, nothing is sent to GigTerms - [Freelance contract guides](https://www.gigterms.com/guides/): plain-language guides (general information, not legal advice) to contract red flags, payment terms, IP ownership, revisions, kill fees, non-competes, liability and indemnification ## Other languages The same pages, adapted to local rules (late-payment law, invoice requirements, copyright), not just translated: - German: [Freelancer-Vertrag prüfen](https://www.gigterms.com/de/freelancer-vertrag-pruefen.html), [Zwei Fassungen eines Vertrags vergleichen](https://www.gigterms.com/de/vertragsversionen-vergleichen.html), [Rechnung kostenlos erstellen](https://www.gigterms.com/de/rechnung-erstellen-kostenlos.html), [Ratgeber für Freelancer-Verträge](https://www.gigterms.com/de/ratgeber/) - Spanish: [Revisa tu contrato freelance antes de firmar](https://www.gigterms.com/es/revisar-contrato-freelance.html), [Compara dos versiones de un contrato](https://www.gigterms.com/es/comparar-versiones-de-contrato.html), [Generador de facturas gratis](https://www.gigterms.com/es/generador-de-facturas-gratis.html), [Guías sobre contratos freelance](https://www.gigterms.com/es/guias/) - French: [Vérifiez votre contrat freelance avant de signer](https://www.gigterms.com/fr/verifier-contrat-freelance.html), [Comparez deux versions d'un contrat](https://www.gigterms.com/fr/comparer-versions-de-contrat.html), [Générateur de factures gratuit](https://www.gigterms.com/fr/generateur-de-factures-gratuit.html), [Guides sur les contrats freelance](https://www.gigterms.com/fr/guides/) ## Contact support@gigterms.com
